The winners of the ADE’s Decentralised Energy Awards 2024 were revealed at a glamorous ceremony at Church House, Westminster, which attracted nearly 350 guests from across the decentralised energy sector, government, politics and the wider economy. The prestigious event highlighted best practice in the sector, shone a light on the brilliant work undertaken by industry and celebrated the people that are behind decentralised energy’s greatest achievements. The evening would not have been possible without our sponsors, with special thanks to InstaGroup for their generous support.

The coming years are critical for ensuring our energy system sees the transformation required to squeeze every drop of value from an increasingly renewable-based system. Our sectors enjoy exceptional innovation in products and services that are truly transforming energy in the UK. They deserve to be celebrated. 

For the first time, ADE will be publishing our “Showcasing Innovation” report. It will cast a spotlight on the very best innovations in products and services that are unlocking barriers in the decarbonisation of heat through heat networks and that are enabling households and businesses to decarbonise and participate in the energy system in a way that works for them. 

What we're looking for

This report is aimed at products and services that are innovating in the sector. If you have an interesting project then please consider entering the main ADE Awards.

The product or service must be at least past Proof of Concept and only new to the market within the last five years. 

Submissions that show the interactions between the decarbonisation of heat and the way in which we bring households and businesses more into the energy system will be particularly favoured. This could be for example, through incorporating a better understanding of users’ energy needs into the design and delivery of projects or enabling them to participate more through flexibility.

The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Friday 5th September 2025. If your submission is successful you will be notified by Friday 3^rd October 2025. The report will then be launched at our Awards Dinner on 12^th November 2025 at Church House in London.
